Cardholder name now customizable for each virtual card

BitPay adds per-card cardholder name customization. Each card in a program can now display a different name that matches the operator's needs.

BitPay added per-card cardholder name customization today. Each card in a program can now display a different name on the card itself and in transaction records - useful for matching the operator's vendor naming conventions, business entity structure, or accounting practices.

Common uses: a media buying team names each card after the brand it serves (Card for Brand A, Card for Brand B). An agency names cards after the client (Client A Ads, Client B Ads). A solo operator names cards after the workstream (Ads, SaaS, Travel). Each pattern makes reconciliation cleaner.

Names are 26 characters max, matching the standard card network constraint. Special characters are allowed within card network rules. Names appear on the card visual representation in the cabinet, in transaction records, and in any third-party report generated from card data.

Cardholder name is per-card, not per-account. The account itself has one legal name on file (used for KYC-light compliance and tax reporting), but each card can show a different display name. Changing a card's cardholder name does not affect the underlying account.
