BitPay now accepts BNB Chain (BEP-20) deposits for virtual card top-ups. BNB Chain's 3-second block time means top-ups settle to the USD wallet in 15-30 seconds, faster than Ethereum mainnet and competitive with Avalanche. For operators in regions where BNB Chain dominates, this is the natural funding rail.
Native BNB is converted to USD on confirmation. BEP-20 USDT and USDC are accepted too - both at the same low-fee structure as their Ethereum equivalents. The unified USD wallet receives all conversions identically, so operators do not need to manage multiple balances.
Network fees are typically $0.10-$1 per transaction, much cheaper than Ethereum mainnet gas during congestion. For operators funding $1,000+ top-ups, the savings on network fees alone make BNB Chain attractive - especially during Ethereum congestion events when gas can exceed $20.
BNB Chain joins the eight supported chains for BitPay card funding. Operators in BNB-native ecosystems (Binance users, BNB DeFi projects, BSC DEX participants) now have a native path to spend crypto on virtual cards without bridging.
