BitPay raised the PRO tier per-transaction limit from $25,000 to $50,000 today. Operators running large vendor payments (annual SaaS subscriptions, agency retainers, high-spend ad budgets) no longer need temporary lift requests for routine large charges.
Daily and monthly limits are unchanged. Per-transaction limits are the upper bound on a single charge; daily and monthly limits govern total spend. The new $50,000 per-transaction ceiling is sufficient for most large vendor invoices without compromising the safety of large unauthorized charges.
Operators using PRO for ad spend at scale (a single Google Ads card processing $200K in monthly charges) no longer need to break a single campaign budget into multiple card charges. The card handles the full amount, the campaign launches in one operation, the finance team sees one transaction in the history.
CUSTOM tier transaction limits remain unlimited by default. PRO now covers the typical operator need (under $50K per charge) and CUSTOM covers the edge cases (single charges above $50K, typically media buying on premium placements or enterprise vendor contracts). The two tiers together handle the full operator spectrum.
